Alaska Cruise Collection: Family Cruises -
Properly arranging your family cruise is very involved. To ensure we correctly quote availability and fares, please either email your preferences (departure, number of guests per cabin, childrens ages, preferred cabin type(s) etc.) or call me to discuss your needs. We’ll work together to ensure a special family time together!
Disney from Vancouver BC
Enjoy an enchanting family vacation with the trusted quality of the Disney experience while exploring the Great State of Alaska. Sail 7-days roundtrip from Vancouver BC to the fabled Inside Passage visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Tracy Arm/Sawyer Glacier. Departs Monday; May through September , 2013.
On board the Disney Wonder enjoy the Disney Difference – a summer camp at sea with a bit of magic and unprecedented quality with Disney Characters, Storytellers and daily family friendly programs for children of all ages. Rotational dining, cabins designed for families with split baths and up-to 5 berths. Shore tours escorted by your favorite Disney Character and more. The ideal choice for multi-generation family gatherings.
Important: A valid US passport is required.
Holland America Line
Holland America offers an exceptional value for families with their discounted 3rd & 4th person fares. The rates vary dependent on the age of the guest from $99-$599 each when sailing as a 3rd or 4th person in the cabin. Holland America offers 7-day roundtrip Seattle sailings, 7-day roundtrip Vancouver BC sailings or 7-day one way sailings between Vancouver BC and Seward, Alaska. Typically, there are 200-250 children per sailing during the summer months. Club HAL their official childrens program is fully-supervised and complimentary. The maximum number of guests per cabin is 4 on their ships. Availability of these cabins is extremely limited.
In addition, Holland America offers cruise/tour combination programs through-out Alaska and a 14-day roundtrip cruise from Seattle. I do not find either of these programs, family friendly. I suggest we create your own tour program versus traveling on any published tour package.
Alaska Dream Cruises from Sitka, Alaska
My favorites small ship operator in Alaska. You’ll enjoy the “back-roads and real people” of Alaska! You’ll sail on a ship of either 42 or 66 guests to remote and pristine bays and ports (rarely to never visited by the big ships) of the Great State of Alaska. Shore tours are included in each port. Children in particular enjoy Kayaking, Native Crafts, Scrapbooking, Zego Skiff Excursions, exploration into the hills of Hobart Bay on a rough-terrain vehicle, Geology, Scavenger hunts, Game night, Geo caching, a quick dip in the water we call the “Killer Whale Dip”, baking, knot tying, plant and animal identification, other activities yet to be determined. Interactive learning opportunities, Exploring Southeast Alaska, including tide-water glaciers, Wildlife viewing, beautiful natural settings, Chef created family friendly cuisine.
These programs are included on all family cruise departures. Or, selected activities are all sailings. Due to the popularity of these programs and limited availability (42-66 guests), I strongly suggest you plan in advance and book early. It is important to note: most cabins are double occupancy, there are a very few triple berth rooms, too.
